A Family-Fun Forest Walk & Talk: Jayne Thompson, Communications and GIS-IT Coordinator from Maitland Valley Conservation Authority will led participants through the bush as she shared information on what makes a sugar bush special and early signs of spring (what were the trees, the plants, the birds and the insects doing right then?).

Maple Mania at Bad Apple Brewing Company. Live music with Ashley Dawn; maple goodies from White Squirrel Bakery and a special beer feature: This Is My Day Job IPA made from Reverse Osmosis maple water from Bayfield Maple. No registration required.
1:30pm – 3pm. Event was cancelled due to forecasted high winds making it unsafe to go into the bush.
Education Coordinator, Denise Iszczuk, of Ausable Bayfield Conservation will be onsite from 1:30-3pm to take visitors on a family friendly walk through the sugar bush to look for and learn about forest animals, maple trees and the importance of trees for the healthy watershed.

The Great Maple Mania Bake Off
Seven local bakers competed. Guest comedians Cassie Cao and Nour Hadidi, with Warden Glen McNeil, chose the 2023 Maple Mania Best Baker. The audience sampled sweet maple treats too.

3 comedians entertained guests who gather for a maple-infused three course dining experience prepared by the White Squirrel Restaurant in St Joseph Shores.
